Happy 1st Birthday to my Charlotte Pepper.
My Pepper. My Cutie Pie. My Lotte. My Baby.
I am honored to be your mama and watching you grow, learn, and laugh has been a dream come true. I love you so so so much!
On Pepper's actual birthday, Michael and I took her to the zoo. We had so much fun showing her the animals and it was beautiful outside. It was one of our very favorite days ever. She loved the penguins so we got her a stuffed penguin named Polly who is now one of her best friends. hehe
The next day we had a party at our house with our family. Since it was Easter weekend, we went with the spring time and bunny theme: Some Bunny is One! I used a lot of spring decor we already had and then bought a few things that we can reuse around the house. I love how it all turned out!
The cake balls, chocolate covered strawberries and Pepper's little cake were made by Muffin Top Bakery in Excelsior Springs, MO. (I added the strawberries and baby's breath to the cake). Hy-Vee has a great flower section! I got the baby's breath there (and I started getting her flowers for her monthly photos there a few months ago).
The bunny plates and floral napkins were from Michael's. I found bunny ears on Amazon for guests to wear. :)
I printed and cut out the banners. The garland is from Home Goods.
I loved looking at all of Pepper's month photos. This past year flew by!
I framed some bunny photos of Pepper. Her hat is from Wal-Mart and the cute plate is from Michael's.
Growing up my mom always put a Happy Birthday sign out by our mailbox on our birthday, so I decided to start the tradition for Pepper too! (I designed it and then got it printed at Home Depot).
Did you spy Michael's Sgt. Pepper's shirt? :) Pepper's cute bunny romper is from Target.
Michael put pink and white balloons in front of our house. By the time we took photos outside after everyone left, the pink ones had deflated and popped, haha. These family photos make me smile. We are so grateful for our little bunny and for everyone who helped with her birthday celebration!
And of course Pepper had a cake smash! Well, she actually had two cakes! haha One inside at her party and one outside the next day. I'll post those photos soon! :)
