We loved her through it all.
These are the words Missy's family wanted to express to her at Missy's recent studio photo shoot in Olathe, KS. And how could you not love Missy? She exudes joy and thankfulness with big smiles and contagious laughs. Even while battling cancer and dealing with all of the harrowing affects associated with the fight, Missy has stayed positive and has kept her trust in God. By keeping it real and sharing her journey on Facebook, she has encouraged so many people with her courage, hope, and, of course, humor. 😄
Missy teaches science and coaches cheer in Orrick, Missouri, which happens to be my alma mater. (Go Bearcats! 😜) Not TOO long ago, or so it seems, Missy was my 6th grade teacher. I loved 6th grade and a big part of that, other than getting a locker for the first time, was Missy. I have memories of dressing up in renaissance-esque outfits, lip-syncing on stage, having class pets and being able to laugh and have fun while learning.
Missy's husband Craig and two of her daughters, Britney and Karson were able to join us for some group shots! Britney is a graphic designer and made a cute sign for the photos which was absolutely perfect. 💕💕
