Hello there.

I'm Colette.

I'm a portrait/fashion photographer, and soon-to-be published children’s book author, based in the Kansas City suburb of Liberty, MO. With my background in the fashion world, I allow everyone the opportunity to have a personalized and creative photo shoot experience.

I book professional hair and makeup services for you, help style your outfits, and have a Client Dress Closet for the ladies. We can shoot in my studio in Liberty, or anywhere in the KC area. I enjoy making the photography experience relaxing and special.

A little about me

Growing up, my mom was always mindful to take photographs and print them out in albums for me and my sisters. I think part of my sentimental personality stemmed from this practice growing up, and thus, I love documenting all stages of life. I also revel in making the moment even more memorialized by placing the right words alongside photographs.

When I was eleven, I wrote a book series and remember my friends excitedly awaiting the next installment. I realized I felt my best when I was being creative. After receiving my college art degree, I have continued to intertwine my love of photography and writing into my every day life.

My perfect day includes drinking coffee with my husband Michael, and finding snails with my daughters Pepper and Sunday. If I’m not taking photos or reading, you can find me thrifting whimsical items, and romanticizing my cozy, quiet life.

Seasons of Hope Photos

Seasons of Hope photo shoots honor babies in Heaven and the women who have experienced loss and heartbreak whether from the loss of a child or the emptiness caused by infertility.

Michael and I have five babies in Heaven. I had two miscarriages in 2017, our son Bennett was stillborn in October 2018, in 2021 I miscarried our son June who passed from Trisomy 16, and I had another miscarriage in March 2023. I take Seasons of Hope photo shoots because I want to validate women’s feelings, do something tangible here on earth to honor their babies, and show both the grief and hope of the future.
